24 Hour Ric

I initially met WarriorRic as a guest on my afternoon radio show, “The Scenic Drive” and found him to be very skilled at mending relationships between individuals. Being a television producer as well, I sat down with Ric to discuss an idea. After a short meeting, 24 Hr Ric was born. I was convinced the show would work very well for television. Ric would spend 24hr’s with a family that is experiencing some sort of dilemma threatening the family unit and then resolve it.

The Pilot.

We approached the ideal family experiencing a multitude of complex challenges. The De Beer family from Pretoria was to be part of our first execution of the concept. They offered the perfect opportunity to showcase Ric’s skills. They were about to move to Gansbaai in the Western Cape due to financial strain as a consequence of the father, Adriaan, losing his job. The family also consisted of a disabled teenager, “Fielies,” and his brother, Jan Adriaan, a boy that had become quite withdrawn. And finally, the big move exacerbated existing stress factors experienced by the mother, Karen, who also suffers from Multiple Sclerosis.

Not to give away too much, Ric arrived at the De Beer home and spent the following 24hr’s with the family. The results were clear. Due to Ric’s short, but intimate engagement with the family, they were much better prepared for their imminent and massive change to their environment. Today, the De Beer’s currently live a happy life in Gansbaai as a strong unit able to face challenges together.

What a pleasure to have witnessed Ric in action!

How can I get involved as a corporate?

Although the pilot episode was meant for television, new opportunities have evolved that go beyond exclusive commercial appeal to a broadcast television audience as originally planned. 24 Hr Ric may suit a corporate client more directly than broadcast television, based on an organisation’s product or service offering, along with tailored messaging to their core brand values. Clients currently working with WarriorRic, or individuals / organisations looking to influence their specific target audiences can easily benefit from the 24 Hr Ric concept as shown in the pilot episode. The nature of the show is uplifting and transformative, the very ingredients brands and society need in order to overcome current unprecedented challenges.

If you or someone you know would be interested in the concept of 24 Hr Ric, let’s discuss how to best adapt the pilot episode to meet the specific needs of a brand looking to demonstrate good corporate citizenship while better servicing customers and the public at-large.
